What excites me: AI-made promo video

AWS consulting promo · martinmueller.dev/one-man-agency/aws/
  • Example on screen — AWS consulting promo (~30s); same clip as my landing page
  • Real work on display — HalloCasa, HDI Cyquins, ai-secure.dev, qr-plakat.de — not stock footage
  • How I make these? — Not in the deck: contact me and I’ll walk you through creating videos like this with ChatGPT Opus 5.5
  • Short, sharable proof between a landing page and a conference talk

Ask after the talk or ping me on LinkedIn — happy to share the Opus workflow one-on-one.

Honest architecture

AI Factory — cool concept, skeptical for code

AI factory diagram — issues in, PRs out, human review at the merge gate
  • AI Factory — issues in, PRs out, 24/7. Great buzzword · I'm not trusting full autonomy on production code yet
  • Telegram — talk to the agent from your phone, anywhere
  • Hostinger VPS — OpenClaw in Docker, ~€10/mo, always on. Any other VM — or a serverless setup — works too
  • Watches GitHub issues, plans, codes, opens PRs · AWS targets (HalloCasa, ai-secure, qr-plakat)
  • Human in the loop — review diff, SSO approve, kill runaway jobs. Non-negotiable when code matters — at least for now

Factory runs overnight · you own the merge. Telegram on the go — or pair deeply in Cursor IDE.

Agent runtime

What is OpenClaw?

  • Open-source gateway — self-hosted on your VPS (Docker), always on
  • Messengers in — Telegram, Slack · tools out — shell, GitHub, AWS SSO, email
  • Persistent memory, cron heartbeats, skills — an agent harness, not just a chat UI
  • Routes to Cursor CLI / LLMs · plans, codes, opens PRs — with human gates

“Why not Hermes?” — Fair question. Hermes is an excellent choice too. These tools inspire each other; feature parity shows up fast in this space. I run OpenClaw for my harness (VPS + Telegram + skills), not because the others are wrong. Also in the lane: LangDock (EU-hosted · less DIY).

In practice

How I use OpenClaw — Telegram Topics

Telegram group Neo (bot work) with forum topics for HalloCasa, prowler, mmblog, meetups
Neo (bot work) — clients & code · dozens of topics
Telegram group Nick (bot personal) with topics Traveling, Energy, Car
Nick (bot personal) — life admin · separate context
  • Two groups — work vs personal; same OpenClaw gateway, different Telegram allowlists
  • Forum topics — one thread per project (HalloCasa, prowler, meetups, travel, car…) so context stays scoped
  • Phone-first: ping the agent from Milan, approve AWS SSO, review PR links — without opening the laptop
  • Slack mirror on HalloCasa work channel — team sees what the agent does; Telegram stays my cockpit

AWS learnings

Managing prod from Telegram

  • HalloCasa — CDK, CodePipeline trigger, prod DB ops via SSO
  • ai-secure.dev — AgentCore, MCP scans, compliance reports
  • qr-plakat.de — OpenNext on AWS · hosted landing pages with metadata preview
  • Agent reads TOOLS.md → knows device-code SSO flow → sends you URL + code
  • Real DevOps value: one interface (Telegram) across multiple AWS accounts

Economics

Real numbers

~€10

Hostinger VPS / month

varies

HalloCasa · ai-secure.dev · qr-plakat.de

~95%

LLM spend (subscriptions > API keys)

Subscriptions + fast CI keep the agent affordable at scale

Learnings

What actually moved the needle

  • CI/CD owns deterministic work — typecheck, lint, deploys, integration tests: not in the agent loop (too slow, too costly). Agent opens PR · GitHub Actions proves it.
  • LLM subscriptions — Cursor Pro etc. instead of raw API keys where possible. ~95% of spend is tokens anyway.
  • Cheap models are enough — Composer, Grok for implementation; reserve Opus for planning. Good enough, much cheaper.
  • OAuth2 / SSO where you can — AWS SSO device-code, Google/GitHub OAuth for APIs; fewer long-lived keys in TOOLS.md and env files.
  • Dual track — ship from Telegram (async, mobile) and from Cursor IDE (deep focus). Same repos, same PR workflow.
  • Self-update — configure OpenClaw to upgrade itself + skills (gateway, clawhub, npx skills update) so the agent stays current without SSH babysitting.
  • Share the agent — give co-founders / colleagues access (Telegram group, Slack channel). Non-technical teammates get the benefit too — and it saves you being the bottleneck. Slack channel ai-neo where a teammate talks with the HalloCasa AI agent
